1. Scope

These Terms of Use apply to the FlashDeutsch Android application and the GitHub Pages website for the project at farzadj.github.io/FlashDeutsch.

App package name: com.flashdeutsch.

2. Educational purpose

FlashDeutsch is an educational language-learning app. It is intended to support German study through flashcards, grammar review, milestone study paths, saved review, and user-created content.

The app is provided as a learning aid, not as a guarantee of language proficiency, certification, or exam outcomes.

3. Use of the app

  • You may use the app for personal educational purposes.
  • You are responsible for your device, your Google Play account, and any purchase or subscription settings tied to that account.
  • You should not misuse the app, interfere with its normal behavior, or attempt to bypass payment, ad, or subscription controls.

4. Content and accuracy

FlashDeutsch includes bundled study material, generated translations, grammar explanations, and user-editable content. Reasonable effort is made to keep the material useful and accurate, but occasional errors, omissions, or formatting issues may still exist.

You should treat the app as a study tool and verify important language details from additional trusted sources where needed.

5. User-created content

The app allows local custom cards and local edits to bundled cards. You are responsible for the content you enter and keep on your device.

6. Ads, rewards, and subscriptions

FlashDeutsch may include ad-supported flows, rewarded unlocks, and an optional Google Play subscription for Pro access.

Payments and subscription handling are processed through Google Play. Rewarded and interstitial ads are provided through Google Mobile Ads where enabled.

7. Availability and changes

The app, its website, and its content may change over time. Features, deck structure, milestone logic, and monetization behavior may be updated, replaced, or removed.

8. No warranty

FlashDeutsch is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is given that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every device or study goal.

9. Limitation of responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FlashDeutsch and its publisher are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the app, the website, ads, subscriptions, or third-party platform behavior.
